As a church family we are committed to assisting parents in the spiritual nurture and development of their children. In seeking to faithfully fulfill that commitment, we must do all that we can to create and maintain a safe and welcoming environment in which to teach our children God’s truths and to care for them. It is with that responsibility in mind that we present to you our church’s Child Protection Plan.
This Plan consists of four sections:
1) the Policy which provides the principles that guide our position and procedures on child protection,
2) the Procedures which delineate the specific procedures we are committed to following,
3) the Code of Conduct which designates expected and appropriate behaviors for the staff and volunteers in our children and youth ministries, and
4) the Forms which must be filled out by all children and youth ministry and nursery volunteers.
Please familiarize yourself with the plan, especially if you are a volunteer either in the nursery or with our children or youth ministries.
If you have any questions or concerns about this plan, please contact Elder Scott Howe, one of the ruling elders, or our Children and Youth committee.
